Fit & compatibility
Will these fit my shoes?
Most of them, yes. Solearo is designed for sneakers, walking shoes, work boots, flats and most everyday closed footwear. Choose your usual shoe size, then trim along the guide lines for a closer fit. The hardest fits are very narrow dress shoes and shallow flats — if a pair is already snug on you, adding any insole will make it tighter.
What size should I order?
Order your usual shoe size. Each kit is trim-to-fit, so a close match is enough. If you're between sizes, take the larger one and trim down — you can always remove material, never add it. See our Size Guide for the full conversion chart.
How do I trim them?
Pull the existing insole out of your shoe and lay it on top of your Solearo insole as a template. Cut along the guide line closest to it, then test the fit before trimming any further. Go slowly — small cuts, checked often.
Do I take my old insoles out?
Yes. Solearo replaces the factory insert rather than sitting on top of it. Stacking both makes the shoe too tight and pushes your foot forward.
How they work
How are these different from the inserts at the drugstore?
Cheap foam and gel inserts are mostly cushioning with very little structure. They feel great in the shop and compress fast. Rigid orthotics go the other way — plenty of structure, very little give, and a lot of people end up with something hard pressing into their arch.
Solearo pairs a 4D textured comfort layer with a contoured arch and a deep heel cup, so you get softness and support together rather than picking one.
I've tried insoles before and they didn't help. Why would these?
Honestly? Feet vary a lot, and no insole works for everyone — anyone who tells you otherwise is selling harder than they should. What we can do is take the risk off you. That's what the 30-Day Comfort Guarantee is for: try them in your real life, and if they don't help, we'll make it right.
Will the arch support dig into my foot?
Solearo is built to feel supportive rather than rigid. Many people who dislike stiff orthotics find a cushioned contoured arch far more comfortable. If it's still not right for you, the guarantee applies.
How long until they feel normal?
Many people notice a difference on day one. Others need several days for their feet to adjust to new support. We'd suggest a week of normal wear before you judge them.
Are these a medical device?
No. Solearo insoles are everyday comfort and support products. They aren't intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have ongoing or severe foot pain, please talk to a healthcare professional.
Ordering
What's in a kit?
One Solearo Kit contains one pair of insoles (2 pieces) plus a trim guide — enough for one pair of shoes.
Do I need one kit or more?
One kit covers one pair of shoes. If you split your days between work shoes and everyday shoes, two kits saves you moving them back and forth every morning — which is why most customers end up with more than one.
How do I care for them?
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let them air dry completely. Don't machine wash, tumble dry, or leave them on a radiator or in direct sun.
How long do they last?
Like any insole, they compress with use. With daily wear, plan on replacing them as you would any comfort insole — sooner if you're on your feet for long shifts every day.
